The Best Casinos For American Roulette (Microgaming)
This is the Microgaming variant of American Roulette. If you browse around this site you’ll soon realise that we are not keen on American Roulette as the odds are worse (you’ve got 2 zero pockets to avoid rather than one on most bets). This increases the house edge to 5.2%, and the bigger the house edge, the smaller the player’s odds. There are 2 Microgaming variants- the stadard (shown in the free game below), and a Premium American roulette game which you should play if you can find it.
For Microgaming American, we’d recommend Betway Roulette, who have a £1000 match bonus going on at the moment.
For better odds, play a European variant like European Roulette Gold (another Microgaming variant) which has a house edge of 2.6%. If you play even bets on French Roulette that plays La Partage, you’ll get that down even further to 1.3%. Every little helps! But hey, who are we to complain? If you want to play on a table with worse odds, it’s a free country! You’ll probably notice that the design of this game is starting to look a little dated compared to some of the newer games, by the way.
In the Premium American Roulette variant, you can bet with chips that go up to £25 (or down to £1). There is an Expert Mode- but it’s not very expert compared to some of the newer games, but it does allow you to place Neighbour Bets, which is the number you place a Straight Up bet on, plus the 2 numbers on either side- so, you a total of five numbers. The standard variant is very basic and just has the basic bets. Play the Premium if you can find it.
The default number of Neighbour bets placed is 2. You can ammend the default number of bets in the Game Options function.
You can also use Bet Layouts to customise a layout of bets on the table. You can play your bets for a single game or during AutoPlay. Customise up to 8 different Bet Layouts.
Payouts are as Follows:
Straight Up: 35:1 Split bet: 17:1 Street bet: 11:1 Square bet: 8:1 Line bet: 5:1
