Immortal Romance

Immortal Romance – a Classic Microgaming 243 Ways to Win Slot.

Best slots casinos

Immortally good

Along with Thunderstruck II, this vampire slot- Immortal Romance- is one of our all time favourites. I guess that is not too surprising as it runs on the same back-end platform. Microgaming do a tidy range of these kinds of horror slots- another good example is the Lost Vegas slot which is a zombie game, another 243 Ways to Win slot.

There are up to 4 free spins features and a randonly triggered Wild Vine feature which can turn things pretty interesting! Details below.

If you are a fan of Thunderstruck 2, you will probably recognise alot of the features, but of course the theme is completely different- it’s all about Vampires.

Immortal Romance Slot Review

Immortal Romance has slowly built up a following among slots fans to its position today as one of Microgaming’s most popular games. You might also want to check out which is a site dedicated to the game. if you like these kind of fantasy slots- you might also want to try the excellent Nordic Heroes slot which is another great game- but from IGT.

It’s a 243 Ways to Win game, just like Thunderstruck II and other titles like the Playboy slot and Battlestar Galactica.

The big aim should be to try and get into the Chamber of Spins which is where the real money is made. You’ll need 3,4 or 5 scatters to get in, which is the old door knocker symbol. They really “thud” in when they drop, and if you get 3, the music tempo builds and your heart will start racing!

Once you start getting into the Chamber more than once, you will begin to unlock more and more bonus features, so it’s as well to plan out your budget so that you can take a decent run at it.

All wins are multiplied by your total bet and wins pay left to right except for the scatter of course, which pays any way- that’s why it’s called the Scatter, it pays when it’s scattered anywhere.

The Immortal Romance logo symbol is wild. That will stand in for other symbols to make up wins. It also doubles a win, so you are better off making up a winning combination with a Wild.

There’s also a Wild Desire Feature. This is a great feature that randomly turns up to 5 reels wild- which gives you plenty of opportunities to win on your pay lines of course.

The Chamber of Spins

Let’s look inside the Chamber. As we mentioned above, the more times you get in, the more features you will unlock, such as:

1. Amber (descended from a family of Caribbean witches). 10 free spins with a x5 multiplier. You can retrigger free spins.
2. Troy (a Hungarian aristocrat). 15 free spins with Vampire Bats feature. The bats can randomly turn symbols into x2 or x3 multipliers. You can get up to a x6 on this.
3. Michael (born over 800 years ago- still looking pretty fresh faced!): 20 free spins with Rolling Reels. multiple wins one after another will increase the multiplier up to x5 (x2, x3, x4, x5).
4. Sarah: 25 free spins with Wild Vine feature. Look out for the Wild Vine symbol on the middle reel (3). It transforms symbols into additional substitutes. 2,3,4 or 5 scatters will retrigger 1,2,3 or 4 free spins respectively.

The slot has a fixed 243 Ways to Win. You can win up to 364.500 on this game. 5 Immortal Romance Wilds pays 1500.00.

Where to Play this Game

You’ll need a casino that stocks Microgaming games, of course. We would recommend playing Immortal Romance at Monkey Casino or 32Red.

  • Timeless – never seems to age
  • A great free spins package with 4 on offer. This game was well ahead of its time.
  • Engaging graphics, soundtrack and story line
  • Can go cold due to the medium to high volatility
  • Unlocking all of the free spins bonuses takes time

Immortal Romance is a great slot, we love the thought that has gone into all of the characters in this game. And the game play is excellent. If you get the Wild Vine feature, you should hit a nice streak. It’s pretty rare though.

We’d class this game as a medium to high variance game (i.e. the volatility), so just play it sensibly. It’s not as volatile as some of the Play ‘n Go games we have played, but it blows hot and cold a bit more than Thunderstruck 2. If it warms up for you, you can get into some exciting runs.
